Plovers Plummet in Poll

Mobridge (KCNA): For the first time since October 2014, the North Central South Dakota Polytechnic Institute (Norcentral) Freaking Plovers have been ousted from the top spot of the Coaches Poll.  On that dark day, the top ranked Plovers were upset at home by second ranked Texas A&M by a score of 25-22.

The Plovers fell to fourth in the polls and did not regain the top spot until winning a rematch with the Aggies by a score of  28-19 at the National Championship game.

The top spot in this week’s poll belongs to the Ohio State Buckeyes with the Plovers placing second, followed by Saturday’s opponent, Penn State.

We spoke with Head Football Coach and Chancellor (for life), Gomer S. Blake from his bunker deep below Cold War Memorial Stadium.  “I don’t care about polls, all I care about is championships.  Let’s win!  Polls are a crock.  If polls were right, Hillary Duff would be president.  Let’s win!”, he bellowed.
